Affected Teaching
Revelation 19:1 begins another vision of John. This verse begins with the many voices in heaven giving glory to God and praising Him because now the final judgment of the great whore of Babylon has been consummated and vengeance has been meted out because of the cry of all the martyrs. This rejoicing in heaven can be called a real Hallelujah Chorus. Hallelujah means “Praise the Lord.” These voices in heaven are praising the Lord for His redemption and the manner in which He kept all the Saints throughout all the ages. The phrase “Lord our God” is referring to God the Father and is used 98 times in the Old Testament. By leaving out this phrase in this verse, they are omitting it once out of the three times it appears in the New Testament, in Mark 12:29 and Acts 2:39. It is another attack on the Doctrine of God the Father.
