Affected Teaching
The manuscript evidence is overwhelming for this verse. The omission is based upon two manuscripts, D05 being one of the most corrupted manuscripts. Yet it is in the Byzantine text and C04 which were fifth century contemporaries of D05. Just another corruption that the modern version editors accepted based upon lesser evidence. This verse was bracketed in the 26th edition of the Nestle-Aland Greek text but not bracketed in the Nestle-Aland 27th edition but was bracketed in the 28th edition. Tell, me what changed? How could there be enough evidence for its authenticity in the 27th edition but not enough in the 28th? I am so glad for the King James Bible because it does not vacillate concerning truth thus building biblical stability in those who use it as their only Bible.
