(VOICE) No, God has patiently tolerated this kind of ignorance in the past, but now God says it is time to rethink our lives and reject these unenlightened assumptions.

Affected Teaching
God is commanding repentance and not making it a declaration or a suggestion. There is a big difference between a declaration and a command. A declaration is something that dispenses information to people but a command is required obedience to what is declared. Repentance is not an option but a command.
