JUDEO-CHRISTIANS ARE THE PRIMARY

Why would Project Strait Gate hold these Judeo-Christian “men of God” primarily responsible for the wars when there are other powerfully organized pressure groups that fund, promote and publicize the war effort?

The answer is that Judeo-Christians have provided the votes, the clout, and the back home grass roots support for wars that have allowed the Congress to permit the executive branch to do its will without regard for the law. Judeo-Christians are the PRIMARY ENABLERS of our Serial Wars because there are more Judeo-Christians than all the rest of the grass roots pro-war activists combined many times over. Without them, Rush Limbaugh would not have had an audience!

What makes this doubly disturbing is this: every major pro-war lobby benefits in some way from the wars they promote—every lobby except this one. Judeo-Christians (with a few notable exceptions) do not gain by wars; in fact, they have everything to lose!

A Pastor Howard of Capital Community Church in Sacramento CA, wrote
this to us:

“WOULDN'T YOU BE BETTER OFF APPEALING TO THE GOVERNMENTAL AUTHORITIES WHO CONTROL THESE DECISIONS RATHER THAN TRYING TO CHANGE THE THEOLOGICAL OR MORAL UNDERSTANDINGS OF OTHER GROUPS OF CHRISTIANS?”

Project Strait Gate’s answer to Pastor Howard is that he could not be more wrong. There are no votes in Washington, even the politicians vote back home. The politicians and the groups that fund them benefit from war, so how can one expect an honest hearing in the offices controlled by the war lobby inside the “Beltway?” Why try to change people who have already been bought and paid for by the other side?

Only at home, Pastor Howard, at churches like yours, do we find the grass roots war support led by misguided leaders who work against their own interests and betray their own faith to do it. Why would we waste our time appealing to government authorities, as you suggest, when it is you and others like you who are the problem? That is why we confront you in front of your congregations -- because you will not invite us in to speak to your members, we picket your church!

Project Strait Gate has made the amazing discovery that only here at your church is war a paradox, for war is not only anti-Christian; war is also against the moral and financial interests of every person who is being taught to support it. You and your church members do not benefit from war. Let’s look at those who do:

BENEFICIARIES OF SERIAL WARS
Politicians get reelected on serial wars. War has become a matter of political necessity for politicians who aspire to staying in office for the rest of their lives, because they are supported by the powerful financial interests that benefit from war. Incumbents get reelected when the economy is healthy and look for other work when the stock market declines, and only war can justify the spending spree that maintains the pretense of a healthy economy. Politicians who fail to understand this will soon be out of office. The easy path to jobs is war! War is also an easy path to the mortuary, but few worry about that.

THE FINANCIAL WAR MAKER LOBBY LIVES ON WAR
The Military-Industrial Complex, as President D. W. Eisenhower (himself a political general) once called it, does not love war; they live on war. Anyone who does not think there are war-making industries has only to look at the annual reports of companies like Halliburton. War-making industries have big money and big influence. But they don’t have many votes. Many have written about the powerful few, including the bankers, who harvest from war and seed conflict. About the only thing that is not outsourced is armaments. Except for a very few at the top, most of those working for the “defense industry,” better called the destruction industry, certainly do not think of themselves as warmongers. And in fact, many laboring people attend Judeo-Christian churches and become mongers there.

Israel’s national priority is war. Serial wars in the Middle East and the Muslim countries of the world have several natural proponents. The Israeli government’s national priority is and always has been to make wars on its Arab neighbors for others to fight; it considers the destruction of Arab nations to be in its national interest. Leaders like Sharon believe Israel has much to gain by destroying and remaking the Middle East, and they say this to their parliament and media. The Judeo-Christians agree.

LOTS OF POWER BUT FEW VOTES
If one adds up all the money moguls in the Council on Foreign Relations, Skull and Bones, the Clear Channel Networks and larger media, the Federal Reserve’s cadre in its seven big banks around the country, plus all the knowing Daddy Warbucks in all the major defiance
industries, you are talking about a ton of money and influence, but only a few thousand votes. Add in all the politicians, who do vote, and some three or four million dual patriots (Americans, usually Jewish, who put Israel’s interests first before our own) and you still
have very few votes -- perhaps a combined voting block equal to only about 5% of those who go to church every Sunday in Judeo-Christian churches! We picket churches because the votes are there to save our society, and because it is in the interest of all these people to get it right!

Only the Christians can deliver votes. The Judeo-Christian Right is from 40 to 70 million strong depending on whose word you take. This writer thinks the larger number is not overstated, because the influence of the JC Right now extends into the Catholic Church and the mainline reformation churches, such as Lutherans and Methodists.

“Soft support” for the state of Israel is found among Catholics, Episcopalians, and even Arab Christians. These latter groups usually stop short of proclaiming the Israelis are God’s chosen people, but they give them tacit support by finding grounds to justify Israel’s acts. Judeo-Christianity has established a foothold in the Vatican and the National Bishops’ Council. No Judeo-Christian sect, including Mormons, is excluded from last days fever.

Every politician knows the Arab-despising Judeo-Christians are the swing vote in elections and can be trusted to support the War makers because their leaders have bent their theology so as to teach hatred of Arabs. They have been trained not to recognize that their Judeo-Christianity is a form of virulent, irrational racism.

CHURCHGOERS SUFFER MORE FROM WAR
We believe there is another reason for confronting the churches: Christian leaders sell war to the very crowd that suffers most from war! Churchgoers usually have families with growing children. The tanks of their SUV’s cost $50 or more to fill—double the cost before the first Gulf War. Much more important, if and when there is a draft, their children of draft age will go first, because they will see it as a duty from which they should not run.

The racism that is part and parcel of “Judeo-Christianity” (as compared to Christ Following Christianity, or the Strait Gate, as we prefer to call it) is destructive in and of itself. We can read for ourselves in Galatians 3:

“THERE IS NEITHER JEW NOR GREEK, THERE IS NEITHER BOND NOR FREE, THERE IS NEITHER MALE OR FEMALE: FOR YE ARE ALL ONE IN CHRIST JESUS. AND IF YE BE CHRIST’S, THEN ARE YE ABRAHAM’S SEED, AND HEIRS ACCORDING TO THE PROMISE.”

How does anyone get chosen people racism out of Christianity? How can an Arab’s life be worth less than a Jewish life? But Judeo-Christianity teaches this contrary view of a chosen race and good versus evil people.

Church attendees were outraged over our sign that reads CHRISTIAN RACISM KILLS PALESTINIANS. Several argued there can be no such thing as “Christian Racism,” and we agree; racist is not Christian. But racism is practiced in the Central Christian Church, where it is taught that the state of Israel is blessed by God above all nations and has a right to dispossess the Palestinians because of a so-called Biblical promise. Our sign was true. If Judeo-Christians were following Christ’s word, they could not and would not support the
murder, torture, and occupation of the Arab people.

We have just come through another terrible week in Iraq--one that made public what may be the worst disgrace in the history of the American Military. If detainees in the safety of a secure jail are subject to the abuse we have seen, how much worse must it be for the population as a whole? Till recently, our captives have been treated humanely. Jessica Lynch’s life was saved by the heroic actions and medical aid of her captors. The US has responded in standard Israeli fashion by brutalizing, raping, humiliating and intimidating defenseless detainees, as they have also done to defenseless civilians.

PROJECT STRAIT GATE CARRIED OUT A VIGIL AT CENTRAL CHRISTIAN CHURCH IN PHOENIX on Sunday, May 9, just after the release of the information on the prison torture and raping. The churchgoers were in denial. No one admitted anything was wrong in Iraq. “Why are you trying to embarrass this wonderful church?” we were asked. This was our answer:

“BECAUSE YOURS IS A RACIST CHURCH, AND YOU HAVE THE BLOOD OF ALL SIDES ON YOUR HANDS. YOU MUST CHANGE.”

FORMER PRESIDENT JIMMY CARTER, a Baptist Deacon and Sunday School teacher, has said this about the evangelicals' support for Israel based on a New Testament prophecy that the reconstruction of the ancient kingdom of David will usher in the "end times":

“THAT'S A COMPLETELY FOOLISH AND ERRONEOUS INTERPRETATION OF THE SCRIPTURES. AND IT HAS RESULTED THESE LAST FEW YEARS IN A TERRIBLE, VERY COSTLY, AND BLOODY DETERIORATION IN THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ISRAEL AND ITS NEIGHBORS.”

PROJECT STRAIT GATE AGREES!
Those twelve who stood vigil at the Central Christian Church in 100-degree heat were the best and most experienced team we have ever brought to a church. Everyone there was capable of talking to anyone in the church, from the pastors down. But it is always a surprise to see the depth of hatred that comes out of some in such a crowd. That hatred is there because there is no defense against the false teaching of the Judeo-Christian leaders. The indoctrinated followers refuse to read our literature or even to talk to us, except for a few…the first leaks in the Judeo-Christian dam are showing up.

American celebrity Christians and mega-pastors are responsible for the acts of our military just as if they had committed the acts themselves. They have the opportunity to influence millions for peace, but they are the principal supporters of war instead. They are charged with following and teaching Jesus’ examples of justice and peace, not the politicians’ and racists’ call to war.
