Hebrews 10:25

(Heb 10:25 KJV) Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Once again Harold Camping has attacked the word of God by violating the command of Revelation 22:19 by taking away from the word of God to make his heresy sound credible.

(Rev 22:19 KJV) And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

His attack concerns Hebrews 10:25 where the believers are commanded to gather together. Camping has claimed that the word “together” is not found in the Greek and therefore gives credence to his teaching that Christians all over the whole world must leave their church and listen to him over radio or internet, because that is considered gathering. Of course, by deleting the word “together” it now fits into the heretical depart out scheme. However, as much as Camping would desire this to be so, he is once again, totally wrong

The word below has been attacked by Camping to enforce the idea that Christians do not gather in churches any more but gather to listen to him and his minions. The word they have attacked is "episunagogen" and you will notice that what is used in the Textus Receptus here is different than what Camping has stated. They use the word “episunagoge.” Here is the word used in the Textus Receptus:

mh egkataleiponteV thn episunagwghn eautwn kaqwV eqoV tisin alla parakalounteV kai tosoutw mallon osw blepete eggizousan thn hmeran

(n) is “nu” in the Greek and is translated as “n” and if you will notice the word Camping uses ends in "eta." (h)  Here is the word that Camping uses in its entirety: episunagwgh

The word "episunagogen" is in the accusative case. The accusative case brings out the idea of direction, extent, or end of an action. They claim the word "together" was added by the translators but it was not. The translation of the word is "assembling together." So when we view the word in the accusative case, it speaks plainly as the assembling of the Christians and the direction or end of action denotes "together." So the word in the King James translated as "assembling together" is the proper rendering. Camping can twist and rewrite the Bible all he wants but he is only doing it to his own destruction and the mindless minions that salivate on every word that drips out of his heretical mouth. What Camping and his minions fail to realize that in the New Testament, there are many single Greek words translated with several English words. It is not a one for one translation between the two languages.

One of the Campingites claims that he is thankful that he can correct the mistakes of the King James translators. What an arrogant statement he makes that he thinks that he can correct the "mistakes" of the KJV translators. Some of the KJV translators were speaking Greek at 5 and Hebrew at 6 years of age. Camping has not had 1/1000 of the training these men had and Campingites choose to follow a man who has never had a day of Greek? Without Dr. Gabriel Otero to guide him, Camping has made shipwreck of his spiritual teachings and all with the applaud of his sycophants.

I would also like to know what makes these Campingites think that they have more understanding in the original languages than the KJV translators? Could it be their $19 Strong's concordance? Here is an interesting fact concerning the word that he uses.

It is Strong’s number 1997 which we saw above: episunagwgh

Now here is the footnote found in the Strong’s Concordance concerning the meaning of this word.

"From 1996; a complete collection; especially a Christian meeting (for worship):--assembling (gathering) together."

Even Strong’s Concordance claims that the word means “assembling or gathering TOGETHER.” This is just a blatant refusal to acknowledge the truth of the Scriptures so his depart out heresy will have credence. He has done what all cultic leaders do and that is twist the Scriptures to make them fit his belief system.

(2 Pet 3:16 KJV) As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

Woe unto Camping for intentionally causing people to stray.
