Is Sodom and Gomorrah a Picture of the Death of the Church?

Some in the DOT believe that the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah are a picture of the God destroying the church. This foreshadow falls far short as does all the others. Notice the dialogue that Abraham had with the Lord.

(Gen 18:23 KJV) And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?

Abraham was speaking with the Lord. God said that He would not destroy Sodom and Gomorrah if there were found 50 righteous in the city. The Abraham continues to speak with the Lord and asks Him if he would destroy it for 45, 40, 30, 20 and finally 10.

(Gen 18:32 KJV) And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten's sake.

Now enter the assembly of the church. In every faithful church, depending on the size of it, will have at least ten righteous, which are the saved. Therefore, since there are saved in the church, God will not destroy it for their sakes. Now those who say this is a picture of the church being destroyed focus on only the destruction but neglect the fact that God said He would not destroy Sodom and Gomorrah BEFORE the destruction took place. Therefore, S & G does not represent the church being destroyed.
