Scoffers in the Last Days

(2 Pet 3:3 KJV) Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

(Jude 1:18 KJV) How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.

Another anomaly coming out of the Depart Out Camp is the martyrdom impression that Camping and his disciples are displaying. The two verses which I have quoted above are revealing to us that in the last days, where we are now, there are going to be mockers of the true gospel. These will come in the form of religion, science, secular humanism, and just plain old unbelief. The true gospel will be assaulted by the forces of evil. It will be mocked and belittled by all areas of unbelieving society. It will be touted that Christianity is outdated and must be rejected. This will be one of the major characteristics of the last days. We have the seen the Bible taken out of the schools and then the secular psycho-babblers sit around in their intellectual covens and ask, what went wrong, when a teenager goes into a school and kills students while the police sit outside and eat donuts, like in Columbine. These anti-Bible people are the types of people who will be mocking the Bible and true Christianity, while replacing it with New Age religions. The essence of these two verses is a warning that the true gospel of the Bible will be mocked and rejected.

Enter the Depart Out Camp. They teach that the Depart Out Teachings have the equivalent authority of Scripture. This is because of the massive Scripture twisting by Camping and his blind followers. They have taken these verses and have arrogated the “poor me, martyr” mindset to themselves. They tout these verses as stating that the mockers in the last days are going to come against Harold Camping and his ghastly heresy of Depart Out. The mockers will also come against his followers. This is the mindset of an unbelieving cult that only they have the truth and everyone else who disagrees with them is wrong and under God’s Judgment, which is what is being preached by Camping and his minions.

Basically, they are saying that these verses teach that unbelievers will be mocking the Depart Out Teachings in the last days. It is also notable, that in this movement, no matter what verse or book of the Bible you read, God wrote it to endorse the Depart Out Teachings. They have literally twisted every available Scripture and have skewed it to Camping’s blasphemy.

Hey, It is only a matter of time!
