The Return of Israel to the Land
Nehemiah, Ezra, Zechariah, Malachi, Haggai are all post-captivity books. The great bible study on depart out does not mention anything about the fact that many went back to the land after the Babylonian Exile. These 5 books were written about 520-445 BC which means God was not done with Israel yet.
The Depart out allegorical farce stops with the Babylonian captivity and conveniently fails to mention anything about a return to the land. It is also interesting when they returned to the land, there was a rebuilding of the temple. If the "Great Depart Out" type is the Babylonian Captivity, then what type is representing the rebuilding of the temple in the book of Haggai?
(Ezra 2:1 KJV) Now these are the children of the province that went up out of the captivity, of those which had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away unto Babylon, and came again unto Jerusalem and Judah, every one unto his city;
(Neh 6:15 KJV) So the wall was finished in the twenty and fifth day of the month Elul, in fifty and two days.
(Jer 29:10 KJV) For thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.
(Hag 1:12 KJV) Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the LORD their God had sent him, and the people did fear before the LORD.
(Zec 6:10-11 KJV) Take of them of the captivity, even of Heldai, of Tobijah, and of Jedaiah, which are come from Babylon, and come thou the same day, and go into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah; {11} Then take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set them upon the head of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest;
The Depart out people claim that the destruction of Judah and Israel represents the permanent death of the church. Then what do the above verses represent when there is much spiritual activity AFTER the captivity, in the rebuilding of the wall, temple, crowning of a high priest. God Himself said He was going to perform a good work and RETURN THEM TO THEIR LAND." Why then are these things not factored in to the Depart Out Teachings? That is because the eclectic method used to arrive at Depart Out is a false method of hermeneutics and is used in the cultic fashion to only use what makes your case and avoid the rest.
