Affected Teaching
(Eph 1:4 KJV) According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

(Col 3:12 KJV) Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

One of the main results of true salvation is that it takes a sinner and makes them a holy person before God. True Christians are holy in the Lord. The modern versions omit this fact in 1 Thessalonians 5:27. The King James keeps it in plus it is also a reminder that there will be false brethren in the church. (Gal 2:4 KJV) And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:  The true brethren are the ones in Christ who are made holy, but the false brethren are still in the kingdom of Satan. The modern versions make no distinction in this verse.
